Why predictive?
Commodity news is reactive: the wire moves, everyone files, sameness wins on distribution. A newsroom that is at the story before it happens is running the one race answer engines can't. Daybook ships with a starter India news diary so the calendar is alive on first run — point it at your own beat calendars from there.
Your calendar, your data
Where it lives. Daybook runs on one machine in Singapore, and events are stored on that machine's own disk — not pooled with anyone else's desk.
Getting it out. /events returns every event as JSON, with no key and no export request to file. Point a script at it, or read it in a browser; it is the same data the calendar above is drawn from.
Where the line is. The calendar is yours to read and take. Who has claimed which story stays on the desk: claims are never served by /events, and nothing here is sold on, used to train a model, or passed to a third party.
